An amazing opportunity for one indiviual to become a Store Manager for our client's offices in the Manaufacturing Industry. The individual will be responsible for the planning, organizing and control of stocks in a professional manner ensuring prompt, efficient and quality service to the concerned business units including but not limited to ordering, receiving, storing, issuing and securing of maintenance items as per the department requirements and in line with company policy. Job Description
Supervises and participates in ordering, purchasing, expediting, receiving, inspecting, storing, distributing and accounting for materials, supplies, tools, and equipment.
Supervises the preparation of documents for the procurement of materials, supplies, tools and services
Ensures sufficient stocks are available to minimize overstocking and petty cash purchases
Evaluates bids and proposal responses, or contract modifications, and makes appropriate recommendations based on sufficient number of quotations.
Audits items to determine rate of use and turnover and determines minimum stock levels and reordering quantities.
Manages stores operations to determine compliance with operating procedures, recommends necessary changes, and contributes to the establishment of new or revised policies and procedures within established guidelines
Communicates regularly with key staff engaged in procurement process, such as departmental managers, accounts payable offices and vendors and resolves issues.
Prepares periodic performance and activity reports, vendor performance, and other reports, as required;
Supervises regular physical inventories, including cycle counts, of all stock items
Regularly researches and obtains current, accurate specifications of materials, supplies and tools;
Establishes control procedures to ensure the security of stock in the stores and other items within his mandate.
Expedites the procurement and delivery of materials, supplies, parts, tools, equipment, and services;
Consults with repair Workshop personnel, engineers, mechanics, technicians and other specialized staff regarding special projects or anticipated needs;
Participate in monthly or quarterly Stock takes conducted by the Finance and Accounting Department.
Responsible for health and safety at the Stores and for direct reports, conducts regular safety inspections and safety talks.

Bachelor Degree is preferred. Experience working in agro processing industry is highly desirable

Knowledge Of
Knowledge of Information systems, electronic procurement and tracking system Sage X3, or other similar ERP is preferred

Ability to work in a team.
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of computer based inventory control and knowledge of Excel and Word.
